We're looking for a Controls Sales Engineer who's not only passionate about closing deals, but also energized by solving complex challenges, leading projects, and helping clients future-proof their buildings. This role blends sales strategy with hands-on project involvement, giving you the chance to make a real impact in the fast-evolving world of smart buildings. The Opportunity: * Identify, engage, and develop new client relationships within target markets. * Maintain a broad understanding of Critical Systems' BAS offerings and capabilities. * Develop and execute strategic account plans to increase win rates and generate profitable business. * Lead or contribute to project teams during sales and post-sale execution. * Conduct client site assessments and translate operational and environmental goals into technical solutions. * Manage and track sales opportunities from lead to contract closure, ensuring timely follow-up and documentation. * Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, estimating, operations) to develop accurate proposals and project scopes. * Present customized solutions and lead contract negotiations to closure. * Coordinate initial project kickoff, handoff meetings, and assist in aligning execution teams with customer expectations. * Monitor project progress, provide client updates, and address changes in scope or challenges as needed. * Leverage available utility incentives or rebates to enhance project value and improve closure rates. * Stay informed on industry trends and competitor offerings to provide strategic insight to the sales team. * Build strong relationships with internal leadership and cross-functional team members to support collaboration and company growth. What You Will Need: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field. * At least 3 years of experience in BAS sales, engineering, or a related discipline. * Project management experience or demonstrated ability to manage technical project components preferred. * Relevant certifications such as CEM, LEED AP, or PE are a plus. * Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills. * Self-starter with ability to manage multiple opportunities and projects simultaneously.
