About us We are a professional, agile, data-driven Real Estate Investment Firm local to Maryland. We handle a portfolio of 150+ residential units under management in Howard, Baltimore, and Harford County. Main components of this role involves participating in the: A. Co-work with company staff on business inclusive of asset management office work and project management assistance on local real estate sites. In the 1st year, at least 50% of this role involve going to local property sites and interacting with tenants, contractors, and minor work items at the property; 2nd year individuals will specialize into specific directions by competence and interest. B. Assist and co-work with company executives in writing and content creation projects, and engagement with the professional community on shared interests. This can mean active participation in blogs, newsletter, book drafting, podcast, etc. C. Participation and assistance in the rental real estate operations is expected, this includes property management, leasing, and co-working with the team to help with business operations. Local travel (within 40 miles) for relevant tasks is reimbursable. D. Setup and facilitate meetings of industry professionals with local business leaders, researchers, lecturers, and students that share similar interests, topics can include-- green energy, more affordable housing, finance of real estate projects, demographics and politics impacting housing etc. E. Help launch the Media Program inclusive of blogs, youtube, and podcast pilot testing real estate content roll out with other members of the team. F. In addition to Real Estate, opportunities in Stock Equities Portfolio Management is also possible. Requirements: -People oriented disposition. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. -Have a sense of wonder and curiosity; possess a growth mindset. -Strong organizational and time management skills. -Excellent communication skills verbally and written formats. -Capable of working with the real estate operations team in a generalist capacity; light duty handy work expected (change smoke alarms, locks, etc.) This position offers a competitive pay package based on experience and skill, as well as opportunities for growth and development in the a dynamic investment firm specialized in real estate. Position is designed as PT flexible schedule in the near term, opportunity to expand the position to FT or join the Investment Partnership Track role for the right candidates.
