Full description of the position

We are looking for a motivated and results-oriented Residential Garage Door Sales Representative to generate new business from residential builders. This role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with custom and production home builders, promoting our garage door products, and coordinating installations with our operations team. Responsibilities Essential functions include but are not limited to the following: * Identify, target, and secure new builder accounts within assigned territory * Develop long-term relationships with home builders, contractors, and developers * Prepare and deliver quotes, bids, and proposals tailored to builder needs * Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely product delivery and installation * Attend industry events, builder meetings, and networking opportunities * Maintain CRM records and provide regular sales reporting Skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) with the ability to quickly learn new software and tools. * Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. * Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy. * An ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both in writing and verbally, with customers, vendors, and internal teams. * Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and task management. * Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with a team in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights. * Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time. * Ability to develop strong relationships. * Strong time management and organization skills. * Capability to solve problems by thinking critically and strategically. * Strong verbal and written communication. * Sales negotiation and closing techniques. * Customer relationship management (CRM) experience. * Time management and organizational skills. * Ability to read blueprints or construction documents (a plus). * Team collaboration and interpersonal skills. * Problem-solving in dynamic, field-based environments. Qualifications / Requirements * 2+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in building products or construction * Proven success in business development or account management * Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills * Familiarity with residential construction processes and timelines * Self-starter with the ability to manage territory independently * Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on industry trends. * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation PHYSICAL DEMANDS To perform this job successfully, the employee is frequently required to: * Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. * Communicating with others to exchange information. * Hearing. * Seeing. * Talking. * Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
