Inside Aftermarket Sales Engineer Job Description Summary This is an entry level position into the area of Aftermarket Sales. The right candidate will be working in concert with an seasoned outside sales engineer who will be suppling leads and or budget quotes to be finalized in a proposal and furnished to a customer. This candidate will follow the proposal to a final sale and delivery of goods and/or services. The Goal of this position is to grow the total sales in the region and to develop the position of Inside Aftermarket Sales Engineer in to a Aftermarket Sales Engineer territory where this candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the Aftermarket Sales, and will no longer be limited to inside sales but will be expanded to Aftermarket Sales on the road and can maintain a customer base. Role and Responsibilities Prepares price quotations or bids based on knowledge of material and labor costs and manufacturing schedules. Submits bid to customer for examination and approval. Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts. Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries. Works closely with the project managers and outside sales engineers. Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources. Preferred Skills Candidate will be able to generate sales related documentation. Candidate should be familiar with interpreting and understanding contract drawings and specifications with a focus on mechanical systems. Ability to conceptualize systems and equipment installations is a plus. Candidate will be expected to work confidently in a close team environment as well as be a self- starter with minimum supervision. Confidence to volunteer and undertake activities with goal of 100% completion will be anticipated by company. Candidate will be required to exhibit sound and accurate judgement capabilities based on presented facts and situations. Ability to support and explain decision making process is a must. Candidate will be expected to tackle challenging goals with a positive attitude and persistence. Candidate must be organized with ability to prioritize work activities, delegate where appropriate and not be reluctant to ask for assistance. Candidate will demonstrate ability to adapt daily activities based on expected and unexpected deadlines. Candidate must demonstrate ability to produce quality work in a timely manner. Knowledge and proficiency with fluid pumping will be considered an advantage for the applicant Job Requirements Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Exceptional technical and engineering knowledge Demonstrated selling, relationship building and contract negotiation and development skills. Superior interpersonal skills needed to collaborate with colleagues, clients and outside agencies. Exceptional capabilities in Business and marketing strategy, analytical and problem-solving, organizational, facilitation and presentation skills.
