Sales Engineer (Solutions Engineer - IP Network Administration) Baton Rouge, LA and Surrounding Areas (New Orleans, Lafayette, Covington) Are you enthusiastic about technology and enjoy collaborating with customers to tackle complex challenges? Our company is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to fill a crucial, customer-facing position that combines technical expertise with strategic sales support. This role offers a balanced 50/50 combination of technical solution development and sales collaboration to drive revenue and ensure long-term customer success. Your Role and Responsibilities: Sales Support and Solution Design (50%): * Act as a reliable technical consultant, transforming customer requirements into customized solutions. * Collaborate with the Sales team to develop and present compelling Voice, Video, and Data solutions that drive business value. * Lead technical pre-sales demonstrations and proof-of-concept presentations to showcase the capabilities of our products. * Assist in creating proposals, responding to RFPs, and managing pricing, quoting, and contract lifecycles. * Maintain accurate customer and pipeline data in CRM systems (Salesforce or equivalent). Engineering and Customer Engagement (50%): * Provide support for post-sales deployment, initial equipment installations, and solution testing. * Deliver exceptional ongoing support, ensuring that technical solutions align with business objectives. * Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to enhance the customer experience and increase revenue. * Ensure that customer network configurations and system documentation remain up-to-date. * Conduct technical training sessions for the Sales team and customers. The Skills You Need: Technical Expertise - Possess a solid foundation in IP Network Administration with experience in designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex systems. Customer-Focused Mindset - Capable of translating intricate technical concepts into practical business solutions. Sales Understanding - Take a proactive approach to supporting the sales process and identifying new revenue opportunities. Communication and Collaboration Skills - Demonstrated presentation skills, ability to engage customers, and seamless teamwork. Qualifications: Required: * Have supported Sales and Product teams with technical solution development for 3+ years. * Possess 5+ years of experience in IP Network Administration. * Willingness to travel within the designated territory for client meetings (generally once per week). Preferred: * Cisco CCNA certification. * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. * Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms. Location and Work Environment: * Hybrid Position - Remote work with travel required within a 100-mile radius of Baton Rouge (New Orleans, Lafayette, Covington preferred). * Maintain reliable transportation for client meetings, typically occurring once a week.
