Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Hardware Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction supplies and door hardware while demonstrating excellent customer service skills. This role involves assisting customers with their hardware needs, providing product demonstrations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Duties * Engage with customers to understand their hardware needs and provide tailored solutions. * Utilize retail math skills to assist customers with pricing inquiries and transactions. * Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit transactions. * Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. * Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked and displayed. * Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. * Exhibit strong phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries. Experience * Previous experience in retail or sales is preferred. * Construction background or similar experience is also a strong qualifier. * Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. * Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance communication with customers. * Applicants with high qualifications will be paid accordingly for their experience and expertise.
