Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Hardware Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction supplies and door hardware while demonstrating excellent customer service skills. This role involves assisting customers with their hardware needs, providing product demonstrations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Duties

• Engage with customers to understand their hardware needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Utilize retail math skills to assist customers with pricing inquiries and transactions.
• Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit transactions.
• Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked and displayed.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Exhibit strong phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries. Experience
• Previous experience in retail or sales is preferred.
• Construction background or similar experience is also a strong qualifier.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
