Make your Mark with Marriott! The Fairfield Inn & Suites Charlottesville Downtown/University Area is looking for a Part-Time Sales Representative to join our Team! We have an exciting opportunity to support our outbound sales efforts in representing our hotel's services and facilities to prospective clients of our busy hotel. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling market requirements and responding to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking sleeping rooms and meeting space. * Position: Outbound Sales Representative * Schedule: Part Time (15-20 hours/week max, M-F, Daytime Hours) * Department: Sales & Marketing * Reports to: General Manager * Compensation: Hourly wage range- $18-$22/hour (Based on experience and performance) + Commission - earning potential on all new business booked at hotel Job Responsibilities: * Making outbound sales calls & outbound prospecting. * Making cold calls to prospective companies/clients as well as finding new contacts for companies doing work in the Charlottesville market. * Provide a weekly one-page written report or email on prospecting opportunities * Driving corporate room sales - generating new leads and hotel bookings with companies working in the Charlottesville market. * Collaborate with hotel Director of Sales and GM to coordinate local sales efforts and drive incremental room nights to hotel. * Work environment - This is a fully outbound position with no internal sales responsibilities. 95% of weekly hours will be making sales calls/contacts outside of hotel. * Experience/Qualifications preferred- * Outbound sales experience - making sales calls/tracking business down * Cold calling - No fear making first contact with potential new client/customer * Face to face sales experience * HOTEL sales experience NOT required!
