Full description of the position

We are currently seeking a Sales Engineer that will be based in San Jose, CA. This position will report to the Vice President of Business Development and will be supported by our technical support team and inside sales to achieve the sales goals. The overall objective of the sales engineer is to sell our company's products and services to current and potential clients, who need Partial Discharge Test Instruments and Services. Our products and services can help the end user to implement Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) on medium and high voltage equipment like GIS, switchgear, power cables, transformers etc. Key responsibilities: * Introduce and sell company's solutions, products and services to current and potential clients. * Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets. * Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity. * Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned. * Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts. * Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge. * Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships. * Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services. * Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up. * Identify and resolve client concerns. * Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals. * Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff. * Coordinate with other team members to accomplish the work required to close sales. * Prepare and maintain reporting and CRM to a high standard. * Other duties as assigned. * Required * Skills and Experience: * Must have:1. Over 2 years of work experience as a sales representative of MV or HV equipment, Test Instruments and/or Service.2. Outstanding customer service and communication skills.3. Must be goal-oriented, highly responsible and self-motivated.4. Advanced Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel5. Must be able to travel throughout the United States and internationally as well.6. Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.7. Exceptional computer skills, clear oral and written communication skills, excellent relationship-building skills and a propensity for integrity.8. Required travel: Domestic and International Business Travels are required up to 70%.9. Must be to lift able and carry up to 50 lbs.10. Required Language: English * Desired Skills and Experience: 1. Graduated with an electrical engineering degree from a university or technical college.2. Prior experience working in electrical engineering or industrial engineer.3. Prior experience working with Partial Discharge Test Instruments.4.
