Position Overview: We are hiring approximately two more people for the role of Landscape Supply Operations & Sales Specialist. Craig Schweitzer (owner) will personally train each candidate in the spring, evaluating your progress and helping you develop in the role. As a member of our team, you will be part of an opportunity that is focused not only on professional skills but on your spiritual and personal development. In June, up to three individuals will be promoted to Team Leaders (not managers or supervisors). These team leaders will serve as point persons in the absence of the owner, guiding the team with servant leadership. Key Responsibilities: * Servant Leadership & Stewardship: * Lead with a servant heart, embodying the teachings of Jesus Christ and fostering the fruits of the Holy Spirit in yourself and your team. * Model ethical decision-making and integrity, reflecting the company's mission to glorify God and positively impact others. * Encourage and empower others to grow in wisdom and understanding , ensuring each person feels valued and nurtured in both their role and personal life. * Customer Service & Sales: * Assist customers with care and humility, guiding them in selecting the right products and providing advice on installation techniques and best practices. * Handle online chats, phone calls , and walk-in customers with professionalism and a focus on creating a positive experience. * Follow up with prior quotes that have not been committed to encourage conversion and finalize sales. * Send out thank-you messages to customers after they have received their products, showing appreciation for their business and nurturing lasting relationships. * Resolve customer issues and concerns promptly, embodying the fruits of the Spirit, including patience, kindness, and joy. * Achieve sales goals, always striving to meet customer needs with excellence and integrity. * Maintain a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system , ensuring that customer interactions are recorded accurately for follow-up and sales growth. * Product Preparation & Shipping: * Prepare products to ship to customers, ensuring accurate orders and exceptional service. * Load products onto delivery trucks and/or customer vehicles with care, ensuring safety and efficiency. * Route delivery trucks and ensure timely deliveries based on OptimoRoute, always prioritizing customer satisfaction and reliability. * Delivery Driver Duties: * Operate non-CDL dump trucks safely to deliver bulk materials such as mulch, topsoil, sand, gravel, river rock, sod, and more to customer locations. * Load products using machinery and unload them safely on customer driveways as per delivery instructions. * Pre-trip inspections : Perform checks on delivery trucks and equipment before use to ensure safety, proper functioning, and compliance with required safety and maintenance protocols. This includes routine checks and maintenance to prevent breakdowns. * DOT Medical Certificate : Ensure you have a valid DOT Medical Certificate, which can be easily obtained at a pharmacy or urgent care facility. A copy must be carried in the vehicle for all drivers of non-CDL vehicles. * Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries. * Warehouse, Yard, & Sales Area Maintenance: * Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and team members, reflecting our values of generosity and modesty. * Ensure that materials are well-organized and safely stored to improve operational efficiency. * Inventory Management & Purchasing: * Purchase products and services necessary for business operations, maintaining inventory levels and ensuring timely reorders. * Receive and organize products into inventory, ensuring efficient tracking and proper storage. This is done by labeling each product as it arrives from the vendor based on the predefined product location map. * Equipment & Vehicle Maintenance: * Perform daily pre-use checks on equipment and vehicles (including dump trucks), ensuring everything is safe and in good working order. * Complete preventative maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment, modeling responsibility and fortitude in caring for the tools entrusted to us. * Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols while operating non-CDL dump trucks and other machinery. * Team Leadership & Management: * Lead by example with a servant leadership approach, focusing on the growth and success of others. * In June, up to three individuals will be promoted to Team Leaders , becoming point persons who assist in guiding the team in the owner's absence. * Hire, train, and support team members to help them develop not only in their technical roles but in their character and spiritual life. Qualifications: * Leadership Experience : Several years of leadership experience in a similar or relevant role. Must demonstrate a servant leadership mindset and a commitment to guiding others with humility and respect. * Bilingual (Spanish-Speaking) : Spanish-speaking is a plus, though not required. The ability to communicate with a diverse customer base is beneficial. * Willingness to Work Outdoors & Perform Physical Labor: Ability and desire to work in the outdoors and engage in physical tasks like loading/unloading materials. * Forklift & Skid Steer Experience: Experience with forklifts and skid steers is highly recommended. * Servant Leadership Mindset : A strong commitment to putting the needs of others first and leading with integrity and humility. * Understanding of Landscaping & Construction: Knowledge of landscaping or construction is beneficial but not required. * Wisdom & Discernment: We value wisdom over knowledge. We seek individuals who demonstrate practical, thoughtful decision-making. * Valid Driver 's License & Clean Driving Record: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Must be at least 18 years old and meet the qualifications for operating non-CDL vehicles over 10,000 pounds but under 26,001 pounds. * DOT Medical Certificate : Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Certificate for non-CDL vehicles, which can be easily obtained at many pharmacies or urgent care facilities. * Experience as a Dump Truck Driver : Previous experience in a dump truck driver or similar role is preferred. Experience in operating larger box trucks is also acceptable. * Customer Service & Sales Skills: Strong customer service skills, with experience handling online chats, phone calls , and walk-in customers. Experience using CRM systems to track customer interactions and follow-up communications. * Attention to Detail & Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively, ensuring timely responses to customer inquiries and meeting operational goals.
