Full description of the position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Account Manager that will be responsible for qualifying leads and managing the Event Technology process for events of all sizes with a special focus on events under $50K in revenue. You will deliver an excellent customer experience, optimizing efficiencies, and maximizing revenue per opportunity. You will also provide general sales and support including lead importing, order entry, opportunity management, and customer follow-up. This position reports to the President of the company. Education and Experience: * 3+ year(s) experience in the live events industry required, preferably in sales. * Hospitality experience is required. * Bachelor's Degree is preferred. * Sales, customer service, and/or teamwork training is required. * Strong written and oral communication skills required to effectively solicit and close business via phone/email. * Audio, Video and/or Lighting equipment operation experience is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Strong understanding of live events, including audio, video, and lighting systems and how these relate to achieving a set objective for our customers and their guests. * Must be able to problem solve, troubleshoot and provide solutions for customer needs under high-pressure circumstances. * Must demonstrate proficiency in PC and Apple computer operating systems including Microsoft Office. * Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. * Self-disciplined with good organizational skills. * Work cooperatively with other team members. Duties & Responsibilities Include: * Sales Support and Coordination * Lead import/distribution for Venue complexities; researching, as needed, to determine correct ownership of Lead. * Directly sell events such as hotel event bookings, exhibitors, affiliate business, and entertainment events. * Identify qualified leads and enter customer information in Hit Play's CRM process. * Close business by obtaining commitment to buy while maximizing revenue and adhering to event profit guidelines for all assigned business. * Manage customers' requests by phone, on-line chat, email, and other channels. Follow up with internal and external customers through confirmed order hand-offs. * Effectively use Hit Play tools/technology/systems and resources to promptly respond to customer requests. * Ensure CRM is always accurate and up to date. * Facilitate strong information exchange with aligned leadership team. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Working times will include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Hit Play based on an office environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.
