Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and motivated Cashier/Sales associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to upsell products and maintain a well-stocked environment will contribute to the overall success of our grocery store. Duties * Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience. * Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using cash handling procedures. * Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance sales. * Maintain an organized and stocked checkout area, ensuring all items are readily available for customers. * Assist with inventory management by restocking shelves and monitoring stock levels. * Handle customer inquiries over the phone with professionalism and courtesy. * Collaborate with team members to achieve store sales goals and maintain a clean work environment. Skills * Proven experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred. * Strong understanding of retail math and basic math skills for accurate cash handling. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members. * Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanor. * Proficient in phone etiquette for handling customer calls professionally. * Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage stock effectively.
