This position will cover the greater Indianapolis area The Municipal Sales Representative helps to grow CITCO Water sales and gross profit by aligning with CITCO sales strategy and vision. The Sales Representative develops and enhances relationships with our customers by providing leading solutions that help them achieve their goals. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Grows sales, gross profit, and customer base by selling CITCO's products and services * Provides strategic sales focus in assigned territories to create sales growth * Promotes all CITCO market strategies effectively to customer base * Develops and enhances relationships with our customers by providing leading solutions that achieve goals and exceed expectations * Checks on competitive activity and develops new methods of attaining new customers and accounts * Monitors sales trends and performance results * Attends trade shows and assists with planning of exhibits * Participates in education and training conferences on selling and marketing programs * Utilizes tools and software for sales planning and focused opportunity tracking * Aids inside sales in troubleshooting problems regarding products and services provided Required Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree in business management, sales or related field OR equivalent years of work experience * Basic knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office programs, the ability to use technology including iPhone apps for business, SalesForce CRM platform experience a plus * Waterworks Industry and outside sales experience preferred Work Environment This position operates in a professional office environment as well as market and territory focus on external interaction with sales teams and customers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to operate a standard vehicle and drive long distances to service new and existing customers. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. CITCO Water standard hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, with occasional evening and weekend work as job duties demand. Travel Frequent day travel is expected to service customers and to attend sales meetings, vendor trainings, trade shows, etc. Occasional overnight travel required.
