Full description of the position
Account Manager Position is to perform day to day account management for all phases of Tel Tech Networks, Outside Plant, Premise Cabling, Security, Network, DAS, 802.11 Wireless, RF Wireless, A/V and Miscellaneous Projects. This includes Customer interactions, sales, including bid preparation, estimating job costs, communicating with clients/contractors, coordinating workers, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget and done in safe fashion. The Account Manager reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with office manager, office staff and warehouse staff. The Operations Manager overseas the: project managers, project coordinators, and lead technicians to complete projects within budgets, hours, maintain profitability, invoice on time and work on collections of debt. General Duties: Provide the same Tel Tech Networks service and quality. Represent the company in a professional manor with customers, vendor and employees To help estimating, material take-offs, develop bill of materials for projects, job costing, and work with estimating department, get submittals and to review and submit final bid packages. Stays within plans and completion of projects, following the logical pattern for utilization of resources and periodic review of job costs. Make sure we have the right construction contracts and all necessary permits and licenses. Orders the supplies and materials to complete projects Maintain optimal customer satisfaction on the jobsite Oversight with OPS manager on hiring PM candidates Recruiting and identification of candidates for PM positions Responsibilities: Work for OPS manager and keeps project plan on target and to ensure that all specifications and regulations are being followed. Follow job specs to scope of work. Manage field schedule of construction projects. Complete project within budget. Build crew or technician moral, work with employees in a positive manor. Manage customer expectations on projects, communicate project issues. Manages changes orders, change controls and costs of projects. Manage field aspects of projects (progress billing, rental equipment, change orders, etc.) to protect company's Interest. Complete project documents Understanding of government codes, permits, standards, requirements and taxes Project Oversight, Progress Tracking and Reporting Supply WIP Status to OPS manager Help with AR collections Complete Warranty documents for manufacture approval Manages their customers and staff Works with subcontractors working on various phases of project Monitor compliance with building and safety codes and regulations Manage budgets in other areas to compensate for cost overruns without affecting quality. Must communicate effectively with personnel and upper management on a regular basis to explain the progress and strategies made. Ensures that all necessary materials, tools and equipment are onsite as needed and current models/versions Supervises field team, review of reports, checks on difficulties and corrects any safety violations or other reported deficiencies. Works with contractor/OPS Manager and architects about progress and any necessary modifications of plans that require changes or adjustments Keeps on budget with costs, quality and speed Manages a PMs, crews, techs, other TT personnel and outside contractors Requirements Qualifications/Requirements * Minimum 3 years' experience in management and in commercial construction. * Experience of the US in telecommunication / security or wireless fields * High School diploma preferred * Understanding in reading construction drawings/blueprints * Knowledge of project management during construction, holding meetings and documenting construction proceedings * Handle multiple projects concurrently * Basic understanding of construction requirements/issues * Familiarity with computers and software programs including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, CAD, Visio, and accounting systems. * Ability to effectively communicate with customers * A Personal commitment to a safe working environment for employees * Flexible during times of change and willingness to do what it takes to accomplish an objective within company policies and safety standards * Ability to document and report job progress * Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines * Possess reasoning and negotiating skills * Be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a professional attitude Work Conditions * When your shift starts, be prepared to start on time not just show-up at site * Ensure weekly timesheets are turned in on time * Extended hours may be required to meet project deadlines * Sitting for extended periods of time * Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and** other devices and objects. * Constant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping while working, using phone, notepad, writing reports, and other administrative tasks. * Be able to plan, participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings. * Travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management * Will be required to haul material in personal vehicle * Ability to work in a stressful environment * Stand or walk constantly (for up to an entire shift) on various surfaces * Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift * Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties * Occasionally lift or carry up to 50 pounds * Work in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions such as heat, cold, or rain * Constant use of eyes (correctable vision to normal level required) to observe, read, interact with public and co-workers; includes hand eye coordination. * Constant mental alertness and attention to detail required while setting priorities and following up on assignments.
