Full description of the position

A machinist sales person is a role that combines the technical expertise of a machinist with the sales skills needed to sell machining services or products. They are responsible for understanding customer needs, generating leads, presenting solutions, and closing deals, often with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

:

• Understanding Customer Needs: Actively listening to customers to understand their specific manufacturing requirements, including part types, materials, tolerances, and production volumes.
• Generating and Qualifying Leads: Identifying potential customers and assessing their needs to determine if they are a good fit for the company's services or products.
• Presenting Solutions: Providing technical expertise to recommend the most appropriate solutions for customers, whether it's a specific machining process, a particular machine tool, or a complete fabrication service.
• Closing Deals: Negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to secure orders from customers.
• Building Relationships: Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients to ensure long-term satisfaction and repeat business.
• Staying Up-to-Date: Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in machining technologies, materials, and industry trends. Skills and

Qualifications

:

• Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of machining processes, CNC programming, and material science. Must be able to make accurate measurement with a tape measurer.
• Sales and Negotiation Skills: Ability to effectively communicate, build rapport, and negotiate deals with customers.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Capacity to analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present information to customers and colleagues.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, track leads, and prioritize tasks. Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
