Full description of the position

The cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer and donor care while maintaining a safe and clean sales floor. Essential Duties * Promote friendly and helpful customer service and donor care. * Operate the cash register and answers the telephone. * Stock shelves and racks with processed merchandise. * Always keep the store neat and clean. * Unload and sort materials in the donation area. * Assist with loading and unloading merchandise and equipment as needed. * Demonstrate professionalism and presents a friendly, cooperative attitude towards customers and co-workers. * Ability to multi-task, make quick decisions and work in a team oriented, fast paced environment. * Must be punctual and have dependable attendance. * Always follow all policies and procedures. * All other duties as instructed by the Manager. Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions With reasonable accommodation, must have the ability to: * Ability to respond to telephones, written correspondence, and other auditory and visual stimulation. * Ability to remain calm under stress and have the emotional and physical stamina to deal with a variety of stressful situations. * At least 6 months' customer service/cashier experience preferred. * Frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, and walk. * Frequently lift and carry items up to 40 pounds. * Occasionally climb stairs or inclined surfaces. * Occasionally work outside during night hours and/or inclement weather.
