We want to add a motivated and personable new employee to our insurance agent team who is seeking a new learning opportunity with lots of room for growth. The ideal candidate for our entry-level insurance agent position has the solid communication skills it takes to drive insurance sales among potential clients and new clients. Bring a friendly attitude and a passion for customer service, and we'll invest our resources into training you to be a successful insurance sales representative! Compensation: $75,000 - $100,000 at plan Responsibilities: * Offer personal attention when pursuing new clients through various marketing strategies to grow your existing portfolio of policyholders * Commit to remaining educated about the various types of insurance, insurance-related protocols, and policy changes to ensure fulfillment of program requirements and ensure our customers are satisfied * Update reports, records, bookkeeping systems, and other organizational tools to accurately report progress toward monthly insurance sales goals * Collaborate with policyholders to develop insurance risk management and other profiles that specify the best policies for their evolving insurance needs * Serve as an attentive listener when communicating with new and potential clients in order to accurately identify their unique needs prior to pursuing specific insurance sales * Carefully listen to their individual circumstances in order to present the best insurance policies to meet their needs * Update reports, records, bookkeeping systems, and other organizational tools to accurately report progress toward monthly insurance sales goals Qualifications: * Willingness to learn about the insurance industry, insurance programs, and state and federal regulations that may impact policyholders * High school diploma necessary; college degree a bonus * Experience using accounting or sales-related software is beneficial * Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is required * Must be a superb communicator able to carefully analyze complex ideas like insurance programs; experience working in customer service is beneficial * Candidates must have or be willing to get an insurance license * Willingness to learn about the insurance industry, insurance programs, and state and federal regulations that may impact policyholders * Customer service experience is a plus About Company As a mutual company, with no investors or outside owners, New York Life is uniquely aligned with clients' interests and priorities.
