Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Automotive Reconditioning Mechanic with experience in auction vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess a keen ability to diagnose and arbitrate issues from auctions and efficiently address major safety and state inspection-related concerns. This role requires a proactive approach in providing high-quality service and maintaining our dealership's excellent reputation. Key Responsibilities: * Diagnose and correct mechanical issues with auction-acquired vehicles promptly and effectively. * Arbitrate vehicles back to the auction when necessary. * Address immediate major issues that impact safety, state inspections, or anything noticeable during a test drive. * Identify and plan cosmetic repairs, coordinating with external vendors when necessary. * Prevent potential post-sale issues to maintain customer satisfaction and uphold dealership reputation. * Communicate with customers throughout the vehicle purchasing process to address any questions or concerns regarding vehicle condition. * Perform retail service work for customers outside of dealership sales. * Utilize the dealership's shop management system to communicate with customers, providing updates, sending photos, and recommending additional services. * Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workspace, keeping it free from clutter and ensuring efficient task completion. * Show ambition and a willingness to grow, learn and train. Qualifications: * Proven experience as an automotive mechanic, preferably with auction vehicle experience. * Expertise in diagnosing and repairing Honda and Toyota vehicles. * Strong customer service and communication skills. * Ability to identify and prioritize safety, inspection, and customer satisfaction issues. * Experience using shop management systems for customer communications is preferred. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Motivated individuals with leadership aspirations are encouraged to apply.
