Job Description Forte Surfaces is looking for a highly driven, results-oriented individual to join our sales team. As a Sales Representative , you will be the trusted advisor for prospects in need of premium surface solutions. You will spend most of your time creating, pursuing, and closing new sales opportunities within your assigned territory while also growing business with current clients. This is a consultative, solution-based sales position where you must sell on value, not price. Having excellent problem-solving skills is critical in helping our clients achieve success with their surface needs. To Be Considered: * You must have a track record of building strong, productive customer relationships which drive repeat business and position the company for right of refusal. * You must be able to navigate channel selling, partnerships with builders/contractors, and bid-spec opportunities. * You must have had prior success in finding, qualifying, and selling premium solutions in a consultative manner--shifting customer thinking to what best serves their specific project needs. * You must have keen market awareness and the ability to identify trends, solve problems, and collaborate effectively with the operations team. * You must be mentally tough, transparent, and resilient--adapting easily to challenges while maintaining a positive, solutions-oriented mindset. * You must operate with the highest level of integrity while working independently and managing yourself with discipline. * You must excel at balancing multiple priorities, focusing on the best opportunities, and thinking strategically about our business and customers. * You must demonstrate excellent organization, communication skills, technical aptitude, and a hunger for success backed by high emotional intelligence. Responsibilities * Generate and close new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and relationship-building. * Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close , with a strong emphasis on new customer acquisition. * Develop long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including architects, designers, contractors, and commercial developers. * Deliver high-impact presentations to industry professionals to establish Forte Surfaces as the premier solution. * Maintain an accurate, up-to-date pipeline in the CRM and provide real-time revenue forecasting. * Research companies, identify and establish relationships with key decision-makers. * Understand prospect needs and deliver valuable surface solutions. * Collaborate across departments to ensure solutions can be effectively sold and implemented. * Develop a thorough understanding of our products, materials, finishes, and applications. * Present to and educate architects, designers, and contractors through lunch and learns, showroom visits, and consultations. * Meet or exceed established sales targets. About You: * You embrace training, take responsibility for your actions, and can be coached toward improvement when necessary. * You have excellent problem-solving skills. * You can work with minimal supervision and because of that, you also have high integrity -- you do what you say you're going to do. * You are goal-oriented and have evidence of reaching ambitious goals through tactical planning, effective execution, and the ability to learn and adapt from your mistakes. * You are willing and able to travel to prospects during the workday. * You possess a working knowledge of building materials, design principles, or construction industry. * You have success selling in corporate environments at a C-suite level. Requirements Must-Haves: * Proven track record of exceeding $1M+ in annual sales or consistently hitting aggressive quotas. * Experience in consultative B2B sales , ideally selling to architects, designers, contractors, or commercial developers. * Ability to prospect and close new business , not just manage existing accounts. * Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision while maintaining high integrity. * Excellent negotiation skills with a hunter mentality. * Strong networking abilities with a history of building lasting relationships. * Proficiency with CRM software and accurate sales forecasting. * Technical aptitude to learn product specifications and applications. * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. * Willing and able to travel to prospects during the workday. Preferred (Bonus Points for): * Experience in building materials, interior design, architectural products, or construction industry. * Bachelor's degree in business, design, or a technical field. * Understanding of residential and commercial construction processes. * Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
