Full description of the position

Regional Sales Manager, Kentucky and Tennessee Region Soudal is Europe's largest independent manufacturer of Sealants, Adhesives and PU foams for both professionals and private users. With almost 4000 employees, group sales exceeding 1.4 billion USD and 25 production sites on five continents, this 100% Belgian family business has grown into a global player and expert in chemical construction and industry specialties. For our US operations, located in Elizabethtown KY, we are looking for a motivated regional sales manager located in the Kentucky and Tennessee area to support the high growth ambitions, reporting directly to the National Sales Manager. Working remote, you will be joining a dedicated national sales team of seasoned professionals. You will be responsible for the Kentucky and Tennessee region. Main Duties/Responsibilities: * Meet and exceed sales targets set by the VP of Sales. * Creating and implementing effective sales strategies to drive sales growth in the territory. * Establishing and maintaining relationships with key clients and potential customers. This involves regular visits, understanding their needs, and ensuring customer satisfaction. * You'll make sales by maintaining customer relationships, demonstrating our products, field visits and providing high level customer consultation and training to Soudal customers and end users. * Have direct contact with our end user customers creating push and pull through in the market. * Time and Territory Management (TTM) - creating a daily schedule (including presence on jobsites and client offices) to optimize client potential and sales productivity by zone territory. * You'll carry the technical knowledge to present high level customer consultations in your defined territory and represent the Soudal brand in the marketplace. * Maintaining in-depth knowledge of Soudal's products or services and educating the customers and independent representatives on them. * Conducting market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs. This includes staying informed about market trends, competitor activities, and the latest products and services. * Preparing and managing the budget for the Southwest region. * Providing detailed reports on sales activities, results, forecasts, and any issues encountered to the upper management. * Addressing potential problems and identifying creative solutions, particularly in customer complaints and inter-personal issues. * Attending industry events and conferences to network, build brand awareness, and pursue business development opportunities. * Recruiting, training, and supervising independent representatives. This includes setting sales goals, evaluating performance, and providing feedback and coaching. * Working closely with other departments within Soudal, such as marketing, R&D, and customer service, to ensure a cohesive approach to sales. * Ensuring that all sales operations are conducted in line with Soudal's policies and legal guidelines. Required Skills/Abilities: * Proficiency in various sales techniques and knowledge of the sales process. Familiarity with CRM software is beneficial. * Ability to lead and motivate an independent representatives network. This includes coaching, setting sales targets, and performance evaluation. * Able to demonstrate and do training of products. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for negotiating with clients and communicating with your team members and upper management. * Ability to develop strategic sales plans based on Soudal's goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction. * Skills building and maintaining relationships with clients and key personnel within customer companies. * Ability to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions. * Understanding of the Southwest market, including competitors, economic trends and customer needs. * Being adaptable and flexible in a constantly changing business environment. * Capability to solve customer issues and internal conflicts effectively. * Ability to manage multiple projects at once and maintain attention to detail. Education and Experience: Preferred higher education degree in business, marketing, or a related field or equivalent through experience.
