Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Manager to oversee daily operations in our retail environment. As the Shop Manager, you will be responsible for managing inventory, negotiating prices, and ensuring that the shop meets its sales targets while providing a welcoming atmosphere for customers. Responsibilities * Lead and manage daily shop operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity. * Oversee inventory management and control, including ordering stock and maintaining accurate records. * Negotiate pricing with suppliers to optimize cost-effectiveness. * Develop and implement retail sales strategies to meet or exceed budgeted sales goals. * Train, mentor, and supervise staff, fostering a positive work environment. * Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the shop. * Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner. * Maintain visual merchandising standards to enhance the shopping experience. Skills * Proven experience in retail management with a focus on sales performance. * Strong inventory management skills, including budgeting and control techniques. * Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from suppliers. * Ability to analyze market trends and adapt strategies accordingly. * Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer bases. * Proficient in using retail management software or point-of-sale systems. * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. * Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independent initiative.
