OBJECTIVES We are thrilled to offer an excellent opportunity for a full-time Sales Associate to join our Tilley's Pet Supplies Middleburg location. JOB SUMMARY The full-time sales associate position assists in the day-to-day business at Tilley's, including: Customer service and connecting with pet parents, 5-star reviews are essential to small businesses Tailoring the customer experience to each individual's needs, including assisting customers in bringing their purchases to their vehicles. Communicating sales and promotions to consumers Multitasking in a fast-paced pet supplies store and adapting to a continually changing environment to achieve desired results. Handle customer requests for special orders via phone, email, and over the counter. Sourcing pet food, treats, and supplies via electronic cataloging Be willing to appear in and conduct social media posts and videos about Tilley's Responsible for individual development and learning of pet nutrition through vendor training, reading materials, and online training. Ensure that all merchandise in the department is displayed correctly and that general housekeeping is done as needed. Price and or sale changes as dictated via price change emails Inventory and cycle-counts as assigned by the owner and or manager Visual merchandising as set by the owner and or Manager Any other duties deemed necessary for the overall success of the store POSITION REQUIREMENTS 2+ years of Retail experience in a related field (specialty pet or clothing) is required for this position. Desire to learn about pet nutrition and its importance in keeping pets healthy and happy! Takes initiative to assist and learn Takes responsibility for their training and development Technology--Confidently use technology to be productive and complete tasks. Knowledge and expertise in the Microsoft Office Suite are necessary. Excellent customer service and communication skills to seek and deliver information, listen, and connect with various audiences. Professional appearance and work ethic EXPERIENCE 2+ years of retail apparel or small-door pet experience required Specialty pet food experience is a plus Microsoft Office suite and Apple programs are necessary for day-to-day business Familiarity with Lightspeed EVO or Retail versions is preferred but not required (We Train!). PHYSICAL FACTORS/WORKING CONDITIONS Indoor Able to move and lift up to 40 lbs. Job Type: Full-Time, 30-40 hours weekly. Work Location: In-person Schedule: Flexible scheduling is available; however, weekend availability is required for sales positions.
