Best candidate will understand Point of Sale systems, be comfortable with computers and has interest in developing their jewelry knowledge. Hours and pay will be commensurate with your experience. Experienced sales person can grow into higher income based on performance in short order!! Full time jobs can develop medical benefits, and 401K plans after a year of service hours. Candidates working in our Truckee store must be 21 years of age as we also have a wine shop and you may be asked to pour for tastings. The Bluestone Jewelry sales consultants work directly with customers, helping identify their needs and selling them merchandise. They perform a number of tasks such as presenting jewelry, conducting sales, running credit cards, and inspecting jewelry for repairs. These professionals must be knowledgeable of the items in their store to answer potential customer questions and effectively sell products; for example, the consultant must know the difference between different types of metal, understand the processes used to make merchandise, and ideally have an understanding of gemstones. The position will grow in to responsibility for specific brands in the collection. Jewelry sales consultants must use their customer-service skills to effectively make sales presentations and build long-term relationships with customers. Also the position maintains an orderly store and wants to grow with the business.
