Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales & Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a proven sales leader with a passion for luxury goods and a talent for building strong client relationships. This is a management key holder position reporting directly to the General Manager of Retail Operations. The Sales Manager will be a key driver of sales performance, responsible for leading and motivating the sales team, developing and implementing sales strategies, and cultivating a high-end customer experience. They will lead by example and oversee the sales associates' customer experience through the life of the sale via all sales channels including: in-person, virtual appointment, phone, and live-chat. These team members assist our customers in finding their best jewelry match from our luxury product line and custom design offerings. This role requires a strong understanding of luxury sales, day to day jewelry store operations & paperwork, excellent communication & interpersonal skills, and a commitment to exceeding sales targets. The ideal candidate will be available full-time hours and be flexible to work within our hours of operation. This is an on-site position for our location in Newport Beach, CA. The average salary for this position is between $80k-100k annually, based on experience. Sales incentives include quarterly bonuses for exceeding sales targets. This compensation budget range may be adjusted at any time at the discretion of the company. Key Responsibilities: Sales Leadership & Management: * Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales goals. * Develop and implement effective sales strategies and initiatives. * Monitor sales performance and identify areas for improvement. * Conduct regular sales meetings and provide ongoing training and development. * Manage sales team schedules and ensure adequate coverage. * Handle customer escalations and resolve issues effectively. Client Relationship Management: * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. * Provide personalized service and expert advice on jewelry selection. * Cultivate a loyal client base through proactive outreach and follow-up. * Manage client databases and track customer preferences. * Assist with special client events and promotions. Sales & Business Development: * Drive sales by actively engaging with customers and closing deals. * Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to overall store performance. * Identify and pursue new business opportunities. * Stay up-to-date on industry trends and product knowledge. * Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities to differentiate. Store Operations & Key Holder Responsibilities: * Open and close the store according to established procedures. * Ensure the store is visually appealing and well-maintained. * Manage inventory and assist with stock control. * Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently. * Adhere to all company policies and procedures. * Maintain a secure and safe environment for customers and staff. Reporting & Communication: * Report directly to the General Manager of Retail Operations. * Provide regular updates on sales performance and team activities. * Communicate effectively with other departments. * Attend management meetings and contribute to strategic planning. Other Sales & Operation Tasks: * Assist with special projects as needed. * Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Proven track record of success in luxury sales management. * Strong leadership and team-building skills. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. * Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. * In-depth knowledge of fine jewelry, diamonds, gemstones and watches. * Passion for providing exceptional customer service. * Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment. * Strong organizational and time-management skills. * Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. * BA degree or equivalent preferred, or equivalent job experience * GIA certification is a plus. * Prior experience in the jewelry industry is essential. * Understanding and acceptance of diversity, equity, inclusion, and workplace belonging concepts.
