Full description of the position

The Carrier Sales Representative will cover assigned loads, expedite the sharing of information and documentation between customers and carriers, and communicate with dispatchers and drivers to track the status of loads. You will negotiate terms with carriers in a manner that optimizes profits for READY-2-XECUTE (R2X) Primary Responsibilities: * Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with carriers to ensure reliable and efficient coverage for loads. * Ensure that freight is covered by confirming driver pick-ups after booking, and proactively managing carrier communications to avoid delays. * Book freight with a focus on maximizing margin while ensuring the most cost-effective and reliable shipping solutions. * Maintain and update routing guides for regularly used lanes, ensuring that preferred carriers are utilized, and routes are optimized. * Leverage DAT and other resources as needed to source carriers for freight and ensure optimal pricing and service coverage. * Monitor carrier performance, ensuring that agreed-upon service levels and expectations are met. * Address and resolve any issues with carriers, including delays, pricing disputes, or performance concerns, to maintain smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
