Overview We're hiring a Retail Sales Associate to join our team at our new UPS Store in Ontario, CA! We are seeking helpful people who are dependable and want to grow with a small business. You'll assist customers with shipping, packaging, printing, and mailbox services while providing friendly, fast, and accurate service. The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor. They must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time. We use INDEED for all communications and appointment settings as the hiring manager is not in the store. Responsibilities * Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to address their inquiries and concerns. * Process transactions accurately using a cash register, ensuring all sales are correctly recorded. * Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining product displays to enhance the shopping experience. * to educate customers about features and benefits. * Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations and customer satisfaction. * Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance and support in daily tasks. * Maintain knowledge of store products, promotions, and policies to effectively assist customers. * Utilize basic math skills to handle cash transactions and provide change accurately. Skills * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers. * Ability to sell products by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable options. * Bilingual abilities are a plus, as they enhance communication with a diverse customer base. * Basic math skills for handling cash register operations and transactions. * Experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not mandatory. * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. * Capability to supervise others when necessary, fostering a positive work environment. * Proficiency in engaging customers effectively. * Must be able to pass a background check for becoming a Notary Public and Livescan roller within six months of employment.
