Purpose The Business Development Representative plays an important role in the growth of HC3 by building a pipeline of sales leads to meet business plans, quotas, and company objectives. By providing critical lead development support for the sales and marketing teams, this role helps increase the size of the company's client base and overall revenue. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities * Deliver qualified leads and set appointments from all methods of reaching out to prospects (e.g., cold call campaigns, call lists from conferences, social media, etc.). * Manage leads in Hubspot, keeping accurate records of communications. * Travel for conferences and sales presentations as assigned. * Perform introductory software demonstrations. Additional Responsibilities * Partner with Marketing and Sales to create campaigns for targeted prospects and clients. * Stay current on industry knowledge, competition, HC3 products and solutions. * Develop training notes for the lead generation program. * Attend HC3 sales/marketing/development related meetings. * Develop presentations with input from the Sales and Marketing team. Competencies and Qualities Qualified candidates must have the following competencies and qualities: * Excellent communication and organizational skills * Self-motivated and able to work independently * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Professional and polished in appearance and speech * Effective individual contributor with the ability to also focus on team efforts * Excellent follow-up skills Education Experience and Certifications Required * Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration or related field * Intermediate computer skills Preferred * Experience in lead generation, cold calling, or sales support * Familiarity with HubSpot * Banking industry knowledge Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This role is based in Irondale, AL and is expected to work regularly at the HC3 office. This position may be approved for some remote work at the discretion of management and in compliance with the Remote Work and Access Policy. Travel This role requires travel to conferences and presentations. Occasional flights and overnight travel may be necessary. Physical Demand This role will require using a computer for long periods of time while either sitting or standing. May occasionally require bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance when setting up the HC3 booth for conferences. Position Type and Expected Hours This is a full-time position for five, eight-hour days (at least 40 hours) per week. Hours may vary to ensure availability for meetings with clients and prospective clients.
