Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional service and support to our customers. Your primary focus will be on assisting customers with their purchases, maintaining a well-organized bakery, and contributing to the overall success of our retail operations. Responsibilities * Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating baked goods. * Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately. * Process sales through the POS system efficiently. * Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales. * Maintain stock levels by organizing merchandise and restocking shelves as needed. * Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and visually appealing. * Answer customer inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. * Assist in inventory management, including stock counts and product rotation. * Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment. Skills * Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. * Experience with cash registers or POS systems is preferred. * Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. * Ability to utilize retail math for inventory management and sales analysis. * Knowledge of upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities. * A friendly demeanor with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
