Full description of the position
Summary We are looking for a motivated and talented professional who enjoys working in a growth-oriented trading environment. The role of Business Development of Powerplants will be responsible for significant contributions to the Engine Department's revenue and gross profit targets. In order to meet these objectives, they will prospect and cultivate new opportunities while maintaining and expanding existing business. They will identify value in available engines and surplus engine parts inventories, build solid business cases around them, execute, and manage the related projects. Identification and cultivation of customers will be a central role in this position. The Business Development - Powerplants will be responsible for managing the project lifecycle for the sale and lease of engine and other key components. Collaboration within the team is essential to ensure the department goals and objectives are achieved. Reporting to Senior Vice President - Powerplants Location Chandler, Arizona Responsibilities * Generate new opportunities to grow Engine Group revenue and profit via purchase and sale of engines, engine material, engine leasing, engine purchase leaseback, and engine repair management * Maintain and grow existing customer base, to ensure support of department customers and anticipation of future requirements * Identify, market, and sell department inventory to current and prospective customers * Identify purchase, sale, and lease opportunities by monitoring changing trends, economic indicators, competitors, and supply and demand * Maintain professional, technical and industry knowledge by reviewing professional or industry specific publications, establishing personal networks and attending annual tradeshows and conferences * Build and maintain strong customer relationships and networks to provide the highest level of service, and uncover new growth opportunities * Analyze data and provide thoughtful insight to aid in the continued development the department and/or team while also ensuring metrics and objectives are achieved * Streamline processes or inefficiencies, by working cross functionally with departments, teams, and executives to implement process improvement strategies * Participate in regular meetings with leadership to review internal updates, team and individual sales goals, potential growth opportunities or areas of the business to place focus * Demonstrate professionalism and value across all areas of the business * Work closely with colleagues or other internal teams on cross-territory opportunities * Travel to customer locations as needed Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in business or related field preferred * Extensive experience in engine parts and whole asset trading * Proven track record of meeting and exceeded gross profit targets * Experience in commercial aftermarket powerplant markets and vast industry knowledge required * Highly organized, while demonstrating attention to detail and ability to multitask * Demonstrates strong prospecting, closing and prompt follow-up skills * Intrinsically motivated * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills * Strong interpersonal skills * Knowledge of sales forecasting and data modeling * Cultivates and maintains business relationships * Proficient in Microsoft programs including Excel Benefits * Medical (PPO+HSA available) * Vision * Dental * Life Insurance * Long-Term Disability & Short-Term Disability * Supplemental Insurance * Matching 401k plan, Profit Sharing * Parental/Maternity Leave * Paid Vacation & Holidays Employee Perks * Outdoor Patio * Onsite Gym * Gym Membership * Sport Facility * Wellness Program * Team Events * Employee Appreciation DaysAvAir LLC
