Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining an organized and inviting store environment. You will play a key role in promoting products, managing transactions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. Duties * Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with product inquiries. * Demonstrate product features and benefits through engaging product demos. * Utilize effective communication skills to understand customer needs and recommend suitable products. * Operate the cash register and manage transactions accurately using POS systems. * Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies to assist customers effectively. * Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and courtesy. * Assist in stocking shelves, organizing merchandise displays, and maintaining cleanliness of the store. * Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance overall customer satisfaction. * Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance on best practices in customer service. Requirements * Previous experience in a retail environment preferred, particularly in grocery stores. * Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers. * Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash register operations. * Familiarity with POS systems is a plus. * Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone. * Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required. * A proactive attitude towards learning about products and enhancing sales techniques. * Must be able to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
