Job Summary: Jack L Marcus is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will engage with customers, assist with product selection, process sales transactions, and help maintain a welcoming and organized store environment. Your ability to provide excellent customer service and drive sales will be key to your success. Key Responsibilities: Customer Engagement & Sales * Greet customers warmly and actively engage in conversations to understand their needs. * Provide personalized product recommendations and offer guidance on merchandise selection. * Use sales techniques such as suggestive selling and cross-selling to drive sales. * Promote current sales promotions and special offers to customers. Product Knowledge & Assistance * Stay informed about product features, benefits, pricing, and store policies. * Answer customer questions and address concerns professionally and accurately. Cash Handling & Transactions * Process customer purchases efficiently using the store's point-of-sale (POS) system. * Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and gift cards with accuracy. * Maintain proper cash register procedures and ensure transaction security. Store Operations & Maintenance * Assist in restocking merchandise, organizing displays, and maintaining a neat store environment. * Follow store policies and procedures regarding sales, returns, and loss prevention. * Work collaboratively with team members to meet sales goals and ensure a smooth store operation. Qualifications & Skills: * Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with customers professionally and clearly explain product details. * Strong sales and customer service skills with confidence in approaching customers, building rapport, and closing sales. * Basic math proficiency with the ability to calculate prices, discounts, and change accurately. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve sales goals. * Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic. Preferred Qualifications: * Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required. * Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
