Overview We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support in a fast-paced retail environment. Your primary responsibilities will include handling transactions, assisting customers with inquiries, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Duties * Greet customers warmly as they enter the store and provide assistance as needed. * Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers or point-of-sale systems. * Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. * Assist customers with product inquiries, recommendations, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience. * Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and throughout the store. * Resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction. * Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain store standards. Skills * Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers. * Experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required. * Proficiency in basic math and retail math for accurate transaction processing. * Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone. * Ability to upsell products and services effectively to enhance customer satisfaction. * Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy environment. * Previous experience in cash handling is an asset.
