This is a technical sales role, working directly with customers to evaluate health of water systems. Develops, solicits and closes new accounts, generates sales quotations and handles customer inquiries. Ability to work with team members in the field including field service technicians and independent manufacturer representatives. Achieves aftermarket sales goals and targets through site visits, telemarketing, direct mail, and web-based sales strategies. The position provides timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries and issues, providing quotes, and placing orders for service, refurbs, and parts. Typically requires 5 years' experience in the related area. You will also gain exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Hybrid Role Title: Technical Sales Representative Location: Minneapolis Travel:** Up to 49% Pay: $70-90K base salary based on experience, PLUS commission Responsibilities: * Provide quotes & proposals for parts, refurbishments, retrofits, controls rehabilitations and services to * Kurita America's customer base * Provide technical assistance and customer service to Kurita America's customer base * Manage sales territory, including a manufacturer's representative base to achieve sales goals * Maintain accurate records of customer inquiries ensuring follow-up and customer satisfaction * Increase Profitability on the Total Aftermarket Business Unit * Orders parts, fulfilling customer orders utilizing a CRM platform * Acknowledges customers by responding to site visits, emails, texts, and phone calls * Deals with customer complaints and resolves the issue as necessary * Work with managers, engineers and vendors to ensure accurate pricing and shipping information, including special pricing authorizations * Performance of other duties as assigned Qualifications: Technical degree required or * 5 years of application industry experience Kurita America, Tonka Water, U.S. Water, or Industry knowledge of * 5 years is required * Competency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel,) * Proven skills in collaboration and teamwork with ability to work independently * Customer service/sales skills; 5 years of related experience a plus * Product knowledge * Attention to detail * ERP Systems Software Knowledge a plus * Water treatment industry experience a plus EEO/AA/F/M/Vet/Disabled * Physical and Mental requirements:* Being able to do the following in a safe and effective manner. * Climbing, ascending, and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and industrial equipment, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. * Reaching and extending hands and arms in any direction. * Standing and walking for sustained periods of time. * Pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and stooping for sustained periods of time. * Using upper extremities to move objects and equipment with steady force. * Sometimes working in temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
