Position: Outbound Sales & Retail Business Development Manager GuruNanda is seeking a proactive and results-driven Outbound Sales & Retail Business Development Manager to spearhead retail growth through high-impact outbound strategies. This individual will be responsible for opening new retail accounts, developing strong buyer relationships, and driving GuruNanda's expansion across prestige, specialty, and mass retail channels-- both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and Manage a Strategic Pipeline : Research, build, and maintain a robust list of high-potential retail leads across various categories such as wellness, beauty, oral care, and lifestyle.
• Lead Outreach and Prospecting : Initiate contact with prospective retail partners through cold outreach, industry networking, and personalized campaigns; maintain consistent follow-up to advance conversations.
• Drive the Sales Process : Own the end-to-end sales process from first contact to signed deal--including discovery, solution selling, and negotiation--before handing off to internal account management.
• Create Retail-Ready Materials : Design compelling sell-in presentations, line sheets, pricing proposals, and customized retailer decks that clearly communicate value and product-market fit.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally : Work closely with internal teams--Product & R&D for tailored assortments, Marketing for retailer content, Finance for pricing strategies, and Operations for fulfillment logistics.
• Implement Sales Infrastructure : Establish and maintain outbound sales systems, including CRM workflows, lead tracking, messaging templates, and objection handling tools.
• Represent the Brand : Act as a front-facing representative of GuruNanda at trade shows, virtual buyer meetings, and in-person pitch opportunities with retailers.
• Stay Ahead of Retail Trends : Monitor the competitive landscape and retail trends to inform outreach strategy and product positioning.

Qualifications

Required:

• 5-10 years of outbound B2B sales experience in retail, wellness, or beauty industries
• Proven track record of successfully opening and closing major retail accounts
• Strong sales presentation, pitching, and negotiation skills with buyer-facing experience
• Deep understanding of retail sales cycles and buyer priorities
• Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and outbound sales tracking Preferred:
• Existing buyer relationships with top-tier retailers such as Sephora, Erewhon, QVC, Nordstrom, or Mecca
• Experience with international retail expansion and compliance processes
• Familiarity with trade shows like Expo West or Cosmoprof and retail launch timelines
• Understanding of EDI systems, vendor setup, and retail onboarding requirements
• Background in clean beauty, oral care, or wellness product categories Job Type: Full-time Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
