Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pawn Broker/Sales Associate to join our team. As a Pawn Broker, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and purchasing items from customers, providing loans against personal property, and facilitating retail sales. This position requires strong communication skills, a keen eye for valuable items, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment.

Duties

• Evaluate and appraise items brought in by customers for pawn or sale.
• Conduct transactions efficiently using Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Assist customers with inquiries regarding loans, sales, and product information.
• Maintain an organized inventory of items available for sale or pawn.
• Supervise staff as needed to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products or services.
• Perform product demonstrations to educate customers about item features and benefits.
• Utilize retail math skills to accurately calculate loan amounts and payment terms.
• Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or a similar customer-facing role is preferred.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficient in using POS systems for transactions and inventory management.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with diverse customers.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts for accurate financial transactions.
• Experience in supervising staff is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of product demos and upselling strategies is beneficial. + COMMISSION ON SALES PER MONTH + Training Available for Assistant Manager Position (request) Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
