Join the CJGeo sales team! The Sales Engineer role is a dynamic hybrid role that merges engineering expertise with strategic sales operations. This position is responsible for qualifying inbound project opportunities, reviewing construction documents, supporting estimating and business development, and enhancing sales enablement processes using tools like Salesforce, Google Workspace, and ConstructConnect. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating with technical and sales teams. * Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Project Qualification & Plan Review: Evaluate inbound project opportunities by reviewing geotechnical reports, plans, and specifications. Determine feasibility, technical fit, and scope alignment with CJGeo's markets. * Sales Enablement: Support pipeline visibility through accurate reporting, contact, and account management by inputting new inbound opportunities in Salesforce and routing calls to the appropriate Territory Manager. Coordinate internal sales team communication, including scheduling, agendas, and documentation for sales meetings, events, and trade shows, as well as managing accommodation and registrations. Provide general technical sales support. * Process Improvement: Maintain data quality and reporting in Salesforce. Refine internal processes and document management workflows. Organize shared files in Google Drive to enhance team efficiency. Assist with writing and refining standard workflows and follow-up templates for customer communication across departments * Marketing Support: Assist with the implementation of marketing materials. Create schematics for submittals and specifications. Help prepare and submit materials for technical presentations, such as Google Slide presentations and Abstract submissions. Required Education and Experience: * Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Construction Engineering required * License: E.I.T. or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred * Work Experience: 3+ years in geotechnical construction, estimating, sales support, or infrastructure project management. * Tools: Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive), Salesforce (or equivalent CRM), ConstructConnect, and estimating tools. Required Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Strong understanding of geotechnical construction methods, sequencing, and materials. * Proficient in estimating and cost analysis * Familiar with reading and interpreting construction documents * Familiarity with Google applications (Gmail, Drive, Chat, Voice, Meet) * Strong organizational skills * Attention to detail * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Strong analytical skills * Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned. * Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and juggling multiple priorities. Environment or Physical Working Conditions * This position is primarily office-based, with occasional travel to job sites, customer meetings and industry events. * Must be capable of navigating active construction sites and uneven terrain. * Attendance at monthly sales meetings in Richmond is required. * Flexible hybrid work-from-home options may be available after an initial training period.
