Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the overall efficiency of our operations. Duties * Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions efficiently and accurately. * Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. * Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their purchases. * Upsell products and services to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. * Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all stock is well-displayed and replenished as needed. * Assist in supervising junior staff members when required, fostering a collaborative team environment. * Demonstrate product knowledge through effective product demos to inform customers about features and benefits. * Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly while maintaining professionalism at all times. * Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding phone etiquette when handling customer calls. Requirements * Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar customer service role is preferred. * Proficient in basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. * Familiarity with POS systems is highly desirable. * Strong phone etiquette skills for effective communication with customers over the phone. * Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly, including making change as needed. * Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances communication with diverse customers. * Experience in stock management or supervising is a plus but not mandatory. * A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing excellent customer service are essential for success in this role.
