Full description of the position

Strategic Insurance Software provides a leading web-based software solution for the independent insurance agencies throughout the entire US. We are seeking talented individuals who will begin their career in a new business development role helping to generate new prospects and opportunities and gradually grow into an Account Executive role responsible for net new sales results. The Partner Platform is a must have, core system which runs the entire business of an independent insurance agency. A successful associate will demonstrate a willingness and capacity to consistently pursue outreach via the telephone to our target market of insurance agents. We place a high premium on communication, the ability to pick up the phone and engage with business owners. Requirements The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following: * Great attitude towards serving others and making a positive impact * Individual motivation and achievement orientation * Mental toughness and ability to rise to challenge during adversity of making phone calls * Strong verbal & written communication skills along with a problem-solving orientation * Ability to learn and effectively use computer programs from Microsoft (Office) and Salesforce.com for maximum organization * Bachelor's Degree or 1-2 years of related sales experience Responsibilities of the new business development representative include but are not limited to identifying target agencies within our market, setting appointments for senior sales leaders, learning the Partner Platform, and understanding the business of insurance. Day to day activities include phone prospecting, talking with business owners, participating in company training events and having some fun with your teammates.
