At 4 Kids Books & Toys you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and impacting childhood literacy. Job Overview: As a sales associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers, processing transactions, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store. Your primary focus will be on delivering outstanding service to every customer, while recommending age appropriate books and toys to kids and their caregivers. Duties: - Welcome and assist customers with inquiries about products, pricing, promotions, and payment methods. - Operate cash registers efficiently and accurately to process sales transactions. - Demonstrate excellent retail math skills to handle transactions and create daily sales reports. - Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products. - Maintain stock levels by restocking shelves and ensuring merchandise displays are visually appealing. - Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits to customers. Qualifications: - Proven experience in sales or customer service roles. - Proficiency in using cash registers and POS systems. - Strong communication skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. - Knowledge of retail math principles for handling transactions accurately. -Experience in gift wrapping and merchandising skills. Prior retail experience required.
