Full description of the position
U.S Citizenship is required. Select applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance. Individuals may also be subject to a background investigation including, but not limited to criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness. Position Description: Realty Specialist : This position provides expert technical, non-personal reality support to the Real Estate Leasing (REL) Team. The REL program provides bureau-wide support for numerous reality and leasing projects throughout the Government. The Contractor assists Government REL staff with the following: * Research and compile data from internet searches and Government sources. * Prepare Government standard real estate documents from data research and compilation efforts using Government templates and examples. * Assemble required REL project documents. * Generate REL reports in all Microsoft programs * Research customer information using various resources to ensure that correct customer records are used. This may include contactingcustomers to request or validate information. * Populate and update the lease administration databases. * Process real estate tax payments * Prepare Lease Amendments * Meet with customers as a member of the REL Team to discuss terms for lease of space and lease administration issues. * Prepare, and review required legal and real estate documentation and lease actions for Contracting Officer review and signature. * Collaborate with Government Realty Specialists and Leasing Administrators regarding project strategy, schedule, documentation, process and procedures. * Assist Government REL Team with interpreting lease language and pertinent clauses. * Prepare cost estimates with documentation to assist Government REL with the determination that delegating the leasing authority is/is not cost effective for the Government. * Prepare floodplain check in accordance with Executive Order (EO) 11988, Floodplain Management. * Prepare justification for a delineated area in accordance with applicable laws and EO's including the Rural Development Act of 1972, as amended (7 U.S.C. 2204b-1), EO 12072 and EO 13006. * Prepare Acquisition plans for lease procurements in accordance with the requirements specified per the General Services Administration Manual (GSAM) * Calculate the total amount of square feet required and special requirements for a project. * Provide accurate, timely, and friendly customer service and assistance to Government and other federal agency employees consistent with applicable directives and guidance. The Contractor shall return phone calls or respond to emails within twenty-four hours. Complex problems/issues shall be referred to the Section Chief or other designated Government employee for resolution. * Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Excellent writing skills to include competence in grammar, composition and spelling. Ability to work independently and to demonstrate effective time management. The ability to determine the appropriate approach and methodology for tasks and to handle several projects at one time. * Experience in automated systems and software applications including all Microsoft programs, Google e-mail, Google SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat. Salary: $85,000 - $92,000 Full Time/Onsite Position Requirements: Bachelor's Degree with 5 years' experience. Government experience is preferred.
