Full description of the position
Overview: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our internal and outside sales teams for our security guard services in Southern California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management, a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, and the ability to drive innovation in sales strategies. Familiarity with RFP (Request for Proposal) processes in public and private sectors is required , as the Sales Manager will act as a representative during the RFP bidding process under the direction of an RFP Specialist. Responsibilities: Team Leadership * Lead, motivate, and manage both internal and outside sales teams. * Foster a positive and collaborative team culture focused on achieving sales goals. * Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, strategies, and provide support. Sales Growth * Develop and implement strategies to drive the growth of the company and acquire new clients. * Set ambitious but achievable sales targets and monitor the progress of the sales teams in meeting these goals. * Identify new business opportunities and markets to expand the company's reach. Performance Management * Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the sales teams. * Provide ongoing performance feedback, coaching, and training to ensure continuous improvement. * Conduct regular performance reviews and implement corrective actions when necessary. Innovation and Strategy * Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation. * Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective sales strategies. * Innovate and optimize sales processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Client Engagement * Travel to meet prospects and customers. * Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with customers. * Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts. * Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally. * Monitor the company's industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer's specific needs. RFP Representation * Act as a representative during RFP submission processes under the guidance of the RFP Specialist. * Collaborate with the RFP team to provide requested sales data, client information, and relevant documentation. * Attend RFP-related meetings or site visits as needed, representing the company professionally. * Ensure timely coordination and communication with the RFP Specialist for smooth submission and follow-up. Qualifications: * Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the security services industry. (Minimum 3 years) * Familiarity with public and private sector RFP processes; experience as a representative or support role is a plus. * Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve and exceed targets. * Experience in business-to-business and business-to-consumer sales. * Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to drive sales growth. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Familiarity with Southern California markets and security industry trends. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. * Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
