Sales Applications Engineer - Hybrid - Plymouth, MN Make your mark at the world's largest HVAC company! Daikin Applied is seeking a Sales Applications Engineer! (Positions open ranging from level I, II, and III) In the position, you will provide technical expertise on company products to sales representatives in the selection and application of business unit products to fulfill specific field requirements. In addition, you will implement strategies on how to position the product to effectively compete in the marketplace. You will be required to collaborate effectively with customers while effectively demonstrating value of company product lines. Additionally, depending on your level of experience, you may provide leadership and direction within marketing applications organization. Location: Hybrid - Plymouth, MN What you will do: * Provide prompt, accurate support to sales representative inquires regarding special applications, systems or pricing * Communicate with customers to evaluate and understand their needs. Asses processes to meet those needs * Process requests for modifications or options and other general information not covered by published pricing * Keep informed on new products and competitive models in the market place * Analyze and propose modifications to current products and services to meet customer requirements * Prepare technical literature for internal and field application * Conduct product training to sales representatives and customers * Evaluate and propose improvements of product training processes * Provide leadership and direction within marketing applications organization What's in it for you: * The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth * The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent experience) * Must fall into one of three categories: * 0-2 years of Sales Applications Engineering experience (Lvl I) * 2-4 years of Sales Applications Engineering experience (Lvl II) * 4+ years of Sales Applications Engineering experience (Lvl III) * Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position Preferred Knowledge and Skills: * HVAC industry experience (not required) * Strong drive to grow in your career * Any previous Sales Applications Engineering experience or technical customer support experience Benefits: Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: * Multiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance * 401K retirement plan with employer contributions matching 100% of the first 3% of employee contributions and 50% on the next 2% of employee contributions * Company provided life insurance + optional employee paid voluntary life insurance, dependent life coverage and voluntary accident coverage * Short term and long term disability * 3 weeks of paid time off for new employees + 11 company paid holidays * Vacation accrues on a monthly basis, unless applicable federal, state and local law requires a faster accrual * Paid sick time in accordance of the federal, state and local law * Paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $60,000 - $143,100 in Minnesota (this range covers all three levels). The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which these positions fall. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
