Full description of the position
Better Made Snack Foods is looking for a motivated, reliable individual for the position of District Sales Manager for the Gaylord, Traverse City and Surrounding Areas, Northern Michigan. Duties would include working with salespeople to build sales, soliciting stores, and covering routes. Advancement possible. Retail sales experience required, food industry experience is a plus but not necessary. Must pass a physical, drug screen, and background check. A very Good Wage and Benefits package will be discussed. Responsibilities: - Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives - Lead and manage a team of sales representatives to meet or exceed sales targets - Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with potential clients - Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the industry - Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to maximize profitability - Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients throughout the sales process - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies - Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to track progress towards goals - Prepare sales reports and presentations for management review Skills: - Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team - Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable deals with clients - Proven track record in outside sales or business development roles - Knowledge of technology sales and the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to clients - Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships - Strong market knowledge and the ability to identify new opportunities for growth - Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a competitive market - Experience in account management, including upselling and cross-selling products or services This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Sales Manager to join our team.
