This role may also be remote.The District Sales Manager (DSM) for Winnebago Motorhomes is responsible for driving retail and wholesale performance within an assigned geographic territory. This role builds and maintains strong relationships with our dealer partners to maximize retail velocity, expand market share, and ensure a best-in-class customer experience that reflects the legacy and quality of the Winnebago brand. Day to Day of the Role: Dealer Network Optimization * Recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing motorhome dealers aligned to Winnebago's strategic goals and customer promise. * Routinely evaluate dealer performance; implement improvement plans and take action on underperformance when needed. * Ensure dealer compliance with brand standards, operating agreements, and contractual obligations. Sales Growth & Business Development * Lead efforts to grow both retail and wholesale sales of Winnebago motorhomes, parts, and accessories. * Partner with dealers to drive inventory turns, manage balanced stock levels, and support sales events. * Implement national sales programs at the local level and support the rollout of product launches. Dealer Engagement & Field Enablement * Build trust-based relationships with dealer principals and frontline sales teams through regular site visits and structured communications. * Conduct on-site training and sales meetings to support product knowledge, sales process improvement, and customer engagement strategies. * Facilitate dealer participation in marketing initiatives, co-op programs, floor plan financing, and special promotions. Operational & Retail Strategy Support * Consult with dealers on retail operations including staffing, facility improvements, merchandising, and digital retailing approaches. * Provide insight and support related to finance, profitability, and business planning. Customer Experience & Service Oversight * Serve as the conduit between Winnebago and the dealer on service excellence, warranty administration, and technician training. * Monitor service operations and staffing to ensure a consistent, high-quality owner experience across the district. * Assist dealers with support strategies for both retail and rental/commercial segments. Market Intelligence & Reporting * Track competitor activity, pricing, and market dynamics; deliver regular reports to leadership with strategic insights. * Share dealer and customer feedback to influence product enhancements and future product development. * Represent Winnebago Motorhomes at RV shows, industry events, and internal planning meetings. * Qualifications & Competencies * Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field preferred. * Minimum 5 years of experience in field sales or dealer development, ideally in RV, automotive, or durable goods. * Demonstrated success in dealer-facing roles with strong business acumen. * Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and relationship management skills. * Ability to travel extensively (up to 75%) within the assigned territory. * Results-driven, collaborative, and customer-obsessed. * Proactive communicator with strong follow-through. * Analytical and adaptive in a changing market landscape. _ By fostering innovation, igniting growth, promoting well-being and connecting with purpose, we cultivate the passion and pride that make both work and play extraordinary.
