About the Role

: We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Sales Director to lead and scale our U.S. retail business. Based in Minneapolis, MN , this role is ideal for a hands-on sales leader who thrives in high-growth environments and is eager to help shape the future of a growing brand in the FDM and specialty retail space. You'll work directly with the founders to build and execute the U.S. go-to-market strategy, lead retail expansion, and grow a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities

:

  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate closely with the founders to shape and execute the U.S. sales strategy, focused on both short-term wins and long-term brand growth.
  • Retail Expansion: Drive distribution across key Food, Drug, Mass (FDM), and specialty retail accounts. Identify and unlock new channel opportunities.
  • Team Building & Management: Hire, train, and lead a growing sales team as the business scales. Build a strong team culture centered around accountability and results.
  • Account Management: Develop and manage key retail relationships, overseeing negotiations, promotions, and sell-through initiatives.
  • Sales Operations: Own sales forecasting, planning, and performance tracking. Align internal teams around sales goals and milestones.
  • Brand Advocacy: Serve as a passionate ambassador of the brand in retail meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
Qualifications

:

  • 10+ years of experience in sales leadership roles within FDM and/or specialty retail channels.
  • Demonstrated success launching or scaling consumer products across U.S. retail.
  • Strong track record of building and managing sales teams.
  • Deep understanding of the U.S. retail landscape, including buyer relationships and retailer expectations.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and commercial skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced, founder-led environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Minneapolis, MN. What We Offer:
