With a rich heritage of excellence and a future brimming with potential, Schunk Carbon Technology is the place where your career takes off. * The Opportunity We are seeking a passionate and energetic Regional Business Development Technical Sales Engineer with a deep and practiced understanding of industrial sales, as well as building and sustaining a good business relationship with our customers. Together with the support of our international teams in Germany, UK and Mexico, you will be at the forefront, presenting our innovative solutions and meeting the needs of our customers. Your mission: increase Schunk's market share in the USA and excite new customers. If you are ready to take your career to the next level and become part of a company renowned for its excellence and innovation, then this is the perfect opportunity for you. * Qualifications * Bachelor's or associate degree in mechanical engineering or materials science * 5+ years of work experience in the Pump & Compressor industry * 3 to 5 years of proven success in sales growth and new account generation * U.S. Passport required (for security clearance in some business areas) * Experience in a technical, consultative sales approach to your client's engineering needs * Aerospace industry experience is a plus * Comfortable with penetrating, prospecting, and initiating product testing and the validation process * Familiar with carbon materials (carbon seals/bearings preferred) * Self-starter who can work independently and remotely * Professional-strength communication skills, both oral and written * CRM experience is highly desirable * Ability to speak German and/or Spanish is preferred but not required * Ideally residing in the Texas area or at the border between Mexico and the USA * Essential Job Functions (Job-Specific Knowledge/Skills) * Develop new business (90%) primarily in the U.S. with approximately 10% account maintenance * Locate and establish relationships with customer's decision-making personnel and other points of contact * Overnight travel of at least 60% including some foreign travel * Cover the southern part of the US Territory, including the Mexican border * Work closely with colleagues in Germany and Mexico (sales and engineering) * Actively pursue and manage the product validation process at customers' locations * Assure proposals are complete, accurate, and timely * Consistent and organized follow-up calls on prospects and leads * Benefits and Total Compensation The company offers a competitive employment package that includes: * Competitive base salary with formal sales incentive program * Worldwide Annual Profit Share Bonus Program * 401(k) plan - Company-provided contribution of 3% of salary (paid bi-weekly) * Additional lump sum 401k bonus after one year * Company-Paid Benefits include Short and Long-Term Disability, Life/AD&D Insurance for you and every family member * Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Equal Opportunity Employer: Minorities, Women, Veterans, Persons with Disabilities
