Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Cashier/Sales team member to join our retail environment. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. Duties * Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries. * Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately. * Process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges in a timely manner. * Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies to assist customers effectively. * Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. * Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction. * Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and sales techniques. * Address customer concerns or complaints professionally and promptly. Skills * Strong sales skills with a proven ability to meet or exceed targets. * Must be at least 18 years of age * High school diploma required * Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone. * Proficiency in operating cash registers and handling cash accurately. * Experience in supervising team members is a plus. * Effective cash handling skills to ensure accurate financial transactions. * Bilingual abilities are highly desirable for better communication with diverse customers. * Background in retail sales is beneficial for understanding the sales process. * Exceptional customer service skills to foster positive relationships with customers. * Strong communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively. * Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing cash flow.
