Position Overview: As a Sales Estimator , you'll play a critical role in accurately quoting and managing industrial and commercial coating projects from start to finish, mostly in the repaint sector. Your primary responsibilities will be doing quantity estimates, collaborating with internal teams and clients, ensuring project success, and contributing to the sales pipeline. Key Responsibilities: * Estimate Preparation: Assess client's coating needs by viewing their building - in person and remotely. Create detailed and accurate cost estimates for industrial and commercial coating projects. Mostly repaints of existing buildings. * Collaboration: Work closely with the operations and field teams to ensure smooth project execution, quality control, and adherence to timelines. * Client Interaction: Make regular jobsite visits to ensure our team is on target for completion date and client is satisfied. Also, business development throughout the year with existing and new clients. * Tailored Solutions: Develop customized solutions for clients, addressing their unique requirements while leveraging industry expertise. * Safety and Standards Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to safety standards and industry regulations, providing guidance on proper coatings and applications. * Billing and Administration: Coordinate with the accounting team to submit timely billings and manage project financials. * Sales and Relationship Building: Proactively sell services, follow up with potential leads, and cultivate long-term client relationships to grow business. Qualifications and Skills: * Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of industrial coatings, their applications, and processes. * Certifications: NACE/AMPP certification is preferred, demonstrating expertise in coatings and corrosion. * Safety Compliance: In-depth understanding of safety practices and regulatory compliance. * Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately estimate costs and manage complex projects. * Sales Experience: Proven experience in coatings, ideally with a desire to transition into a sales or estimator role. Ideal Candidate: This role is well-suited for individuals with a technical background in coatings who are looking to transition into or grow within the field of sales estimation directly for owners. A passion for relationship building, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to sales will be key to succeeding in this role.
