Full description of the position
Position Purpose Determine within the defined Service Level Agreements (SLA's) acceptance or rejection of applications submitted based on producer appointment and training, accuracy, and completeness of documents. Effectively communicate with producers, team members, and internal partners. Promote and follow company and department policies and procedures. Provide a positive example of professionalism and exceptional work ethics. Duties/Responsibilities * Verify producer appointment and producer training requirements for paper applications. * Scrub application and ancillary documents for completeness and accuracy. Verify correct forms used for state and product selected. * Accurately input into systems client and product information for paper applications. * Accurately input SPIA Continuations and Annuitizations for Sagicor company annuities. * Manage team email box. Research and provide professional and timely communications to producers, external and internal partners. * Research and manage Error Queue according to documented procedures. Report new issues to manager. * Follow NAIC replacement regulations for notifying ceding carrier of possible replacements. Create replacement notification letters with required enclosures within the defined time frame. * Review transfer requests for in good order status, create letter of acceptance to send to ceding carrier with required enclosures for requesting a transfer of funds. * Review applications, requirements, and correspondence for in good order status. Ensure funds are suspended to correct policy numbers. Update admin systems with changes to application information and requirements. * Effectively communicate both written and verbally with producers, internal partners, and ceding carriers regarding outstanding requirements and application status. * Properly document communications to/from producers and others concerning matters specific to each case. * Assist with supporting phone calls with both clients and producers. * Willingly take on additional responsibilities as requested to accomplish department and Company objectives. * Successfully complete required LOMA courses (281 and 291) within first 2 years of employment. * Successfully complete all required company training (i.e., HIPPA, AML, etc.). Qualifications * Higher education, or equivalent corporate experience. * Previous experience in processing annuity and insurance applications preferred. * Good understanding of Qualified and Non-Qualified accounts and insurance language is an advantage. * Experience with 1035 Exchanges, transfers and rollovers preferred. * Intermediate understanding of the NAIC Illustration regulation and replacement regulations. * Ability to work autonomously but also thrive in a high teamwork, professional environment. * Effective communication with a variety of constituents, both verbal and written. * Analytical, problem-solving skills and high attention to detail. * Excellent interpersonal skills are required, including a high degree of professionalism. * Intermediate computer skills: typing with minimal errors, navigate multiple applications and screens. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel * Ability to meet attendance and punctuality standards. Work Location * Upon completion of training, employees will be eligible for a hybrid schedule, including an option to work from home one day per week.
