Job Title: Technical Sales Specialist Reports to: Director of Wind USA Salary Range: $90k - 100k Location: Greater Houston, Texas area Purpose of the Role: We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Technical Sales Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support to the sales department, translating customer requirements into technical concepts and solutions in collaboration with internal departments. This role demands excellent communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and a strong understanding of technical products and services. The Technical Sales Specialist will be responsible for coordinating technical customer inquiries, managing cooperation with strategic partners, supporting the sales team, and processing customer inquiries. Key Accountabilities: Technical support to the sales department and translation of customer requirements into technical concepts and solutions (20%) Coordination of technical customer inquiries with internal departments (20%) Initiate and manage cooperation with strategic partners (20%) Support function for the sales team in the active sale of spare parts (20%) Processing customer inquiries including order processing (20% Key Responsibilities: Coordinate technical customer inquiries with internal departments. Initiate and manage cooperation with strategic partners across the region to increase the share of products in the target markets. Support the sales team in the active sale of spare parts. Support the sales department in maintaining regular customer contact, visits, and customer price lists. Process customer inquiries, including order processing, in collaboration with other specialist departments. Document customer requirements. Prepare, administer, and technically process bids as part of bid management. Co-design and further develop the product portfolio in collaboration with technology/engineering. Conduct and document market and competition analysis (need for technical solutions/retrofits, market trends, competitive situations, etc.). Participate in the creation of master price lists and technical advertisements Essential: Several years of professional experience in technical positions, preferably with a manufacturer or supplier of wind turbines. Commercial thinking and technical understanding. Ability to work independently as well as planning and organizational talent. Assertiveness and very good communication skills. High level of motivation and willingness to learn. Advanced knowledge of MS Office, customer databases, and SAP system. Ability to read and interpret documents, and follow instructions, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals. Ability to deal with problems involving at least one concrete variable in standardized situations. Soft Skills: Passion for renewable energy and a commitment to environmental sustainability. Initiative-taking with a results-driven approach. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong critical thinking skills and adaptability. Preferred: Experience in wind sales and customer service. Technical knowledge of renewable/electrical energy systems and installations.
